State appeals court rules on surgery and the need for parental consent

Gov. Scott no longer seeking injunction in health care lawsuit

The main purpose of Florida's Low Income Pool, otherwise known as the LIP program, is to help support health care providers who provide uncompensated care to people who are underinsured or uninsured. The LIP program is funded by both the state and federal governments.

Four little words

A few words can make a great impact, depending on the context in which they are expressed. In the area of health care law, four little words may ultimately imperil certain critical elements of the Affordable Care Act. Currently, a case entitled King v. Burwell is being considered by the highest court in the nation. The Supreme Court will ultimately determine whether these four little words successfully render elements of the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional or otherwise unenforceable.
